Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Drone Destination, a private organization have inked a significant agreement aimed at implementing India's largest drone spray services project. Encompassing an expansive 30 lakh acres across 12 states, this initiative holds promise for revolutionizing agricultural practices. Through the utilization of drones, the project seeks to enhance efficiency and productivity in farming while simultaneously reducing costs and environmental impact.
The agreement is in sync with the government’s thrust on promoting drones for farm activities like crop mapping, application of nutrients and pesticides, digitization of land record, monitoring crop health, and analysis of nutrient levels and soil moisture content.
