BharatRohan, a pioneering drone-based agritech startup, has secured $2.3 million in pre-IPO funding to develop cutting-edge drones for crop monitoring. The investment will fuel the expansion of services nationwide, benefiting 50,000 farmers across five states by providing hyper spectral sensors for precise agricultural insights.
The funding, a mix of debt and equity, comes from investors including Villgro Innovation Foundation, Caspian, RevX, Venture Garage and other ultra-high net worth individuals. BharatRohan’s mission is to strengthen the agri value chain by uniting farmers, seed growers, and corporates through unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with hyper spectral imagery. These advanced drones will enable precise monitoring of crops and variable pesticide applications.
BharatRohan plans to make these drones available to rural entrepreneurs through franchise-based models, allowing them to offer the company’s CropAssure service to farmers. By providing real-time, data-driven insights, BharatRohan optimizes resource allocation and enhances crop resilience against unpredictable weather patterns
